Rachel does her makeup

Rachel wants to grow up as fast as she can. She often asks me if she is grown up yet. It seems to be taking forever in her opinion. Yesterday she went and got out my makeup case for me. If any of you have seen me do my make up you can see who she is mimicking. (Althought I am not sure why she chose brown for her nose) Rachel herself was thrilled with the result and was rather disheartened when I had her wash it off.

I had to add this video, because I thought it was just so cute.

Today I thought it was such a nice day, and the snow was melted enough to play outside for a bit. Rachel and I got out her bike and she rode up and down the street. She is getting pretty good. It was really difficult for her last year when she got the bike, but her practice is really paying off. When I told her it was time to go in she got really upset and cried. She was actually pretty tired from a long day and fell asleep shortly after stopping crying. I think that we are going to have a bike riding fool on our hands this year!

I hate my hair Mommy...

I tried a new way to do Rachel's hair. I liked it. She didn't think to much of it. She also built her tallest tower ever with lego

Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas here in the Andersen house. In the words of my Grandpa, such a Christmas there never was. Rachel was sooooo excited about everything. She could hardly wait until Christmas morning.

This is very first thing Christmas morning, as she is discovering things in her stocking
Here we have pre-Christmas preparations as Rachel uses her cook book to make some special Christmas treats. (most of which she ate herself)

Rachel was so excited about decorating the Christmas tree. I left the room for a while and when I came back she was contentedly singing to herself (She is singing "I Love to See the Temple") and hanging decorations. She couldn't wait to start, we had to hang decorations before getting dressed or having breakfast or anything. She now wants everyday to be Christmas Day. She was rather sad this morning when I told her it wasn't Christmas yet. Her Grandma Romeril bought her an advent calandar which we are going to pick up tomorrow. I told her that She when all the chocolates were gone, it would be Christmas. She replied that she would try to eat them very fast.
