Rachel was so excited about decorating the Christmas tree. I left the room for a while and when I came back she was contentedly singing to herself (She is singing "I Love to See the Temple") and hanging decorations. She couldn't wait to start, we had to hang decorations before getting dressed or having breakfast or anything. She now wants everyday to be Christmas Day. She was rather sad this morning when I told her it wasn't Christmas yet. Her Grandma Romeril bought her an advent calandar which we are going to pick up tomorrow. I told her that She when all the chocolates were gone, it would be Christmas. She replied that she would try to eat them very fast.

Rachel's 3rd Birthday

We got new family pictures taken.

It's Rachel's Happy Third Birthday today. We celebrated a couple of days ago when Grandma Henrie was visiting. We had a really good time.

Rachel really love to get new clothes, she was very pleased with this new hoodie from Grandma.
All in all, we all enjoyed Rachel's birthday a lot

Sushi Dinner

My mother in law took us out to dinner at our favorite Sushi restaurant. We had a really great time. Rachel also likes sushi. First we ate edamame, which she is crazy about, she just devoured those little beans. Then came the sushi, she ate: Shrimp, crab, eel, and lots of tuna. She really enjoyed the tuna sashimi . YUM!! Oh! she also managed to use her chopsticks some what. She was able to pick up a piece of tuna and put it in her mouth.

The Great Grandparent Visit

Great Grandma and Grandpa Malmburg are down visiting for a few days. It is really great to see them. Rachel has had a lot of fun with them. She enjoyed a shopping trip and a pizza dinner. She told me how much she liked them. She always loves spending time with family. Oh and for those of you following my adventures, you might remember a promised hair cut. You can see it in these pictures. I will likely post better pictures soon.

Canadian Thanksgiving

My family got together this weekend to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving. We all had a lot of fun. And best of all for the first time ever in our growing family, there was a kids table!!
Rachel took this lovely picture of me, I threw it in because, I guess this is supposed to be a blog about me so perhaps it should contain the occasional picture of me among the many of Rachel.

I got a couple of cute pictures of Rachel yesterday. The problem was getting them. I said, "oh, Rachel you look so cute, lets take your picture." she shouts "NOOooo" and runs away to try and hide. So it took a while, but we did get a couple of pictures eventually. Watch for big news next week. We are both getting new hair cuts OOOhhhh aaahhhh!!

Play-Doh Fun

I just like this picture of Rachel being silly. She was hiding, and when I found her with the camera, she laughed and laughed
Rachel had her cousin Jane over to play for the afternoon. They both enjoyed the play-doh very much

Of course that didn't mean Rachel wanted to share everything

I have finally started a blog, as I have been saying I should do for ages. I am not going to try and recap the past but shall start with the now. Right now things are okay. We have had a bit of a rough year, but things seem to be on the up and up. So as for what's up right now, today I tried to take Rachel to the swimming pool. The first one we tried was closed until the 22nd. So then I decided to try and take her to the Lehi pool. Their policy is that any child 3 and under must wear both a swim diaper and a reusable plastic diaper (both of which they sell for a total of 8 dollars) This is all because of the scare they Utah got last summer when tons of pools got infected with this horrible virus that got many people sick with dangerous diarrhea. They figure one of the causes may have been people not being careful about un-toilet trained children and babies in the pool. I don't think this over vigalance is going to help much. if a child has diarrhea and their parent takes them to the pool, two diapers still isn't going to keep it in. People just need to be responsible. Poor Rachel, she has been potty trained since she was one and a half and they are going to force her to wear a diaper if she wants to go swimming. Long story short we didn't end up swimming today. I was planning to spend about 3.50 not 13-15.00. Rachel was disapointed, but they had a snack stand and she asked for popcorn. So she got popcorn and felt a little less disapointed.
